Can get configuration addess to work

Connect your computer to your router.
It should automatically get an IP-address.
Click the Windows "Start" button (Windows 7).
Type 'cmd' into the search-box.
Press ENTER.
Type 'IPCONFIG /ALL'.
Look for the IP-address of the "gateway", or the IP-address of the "DHCP-server".
That is the IP-address that you want to type into your web-browser.

No Internet access

make sure you can access the router configuration page

change you computer ip addess to match the ip address range of the router

ex if router is 192.168.1.1
set computer ip to 192.168.1.2
subnetmask 255.255.255.0

and set default gateway and dns server address to gataway address

geateway 192.168.1.1
dns server 192.168.1.1

try it most probably you need to make sure you have configured your adsl user name and password and other settings in you router since you have rested it

Cant sign in to wireless password not accepted

Try to connect your computer with an ethernet cable with the router
Open the router interface using the default gateway that your computer is receiving
Under Wireless, select security and check the security mode and check the compatibility with your operating system.
Remove all preferred wireless networks from computer
If the compatibility is appropriate, and if security key is exact(case sensitive), this is sure to work

Wireless connection of netgear wireless router for compaq laptop

When you look on the box that the router came in, you have to look to see what Operating Systems it is compatible with. In many cases, routers will not be compatible with vista. I have a Linksys WRT300N, and it works great with Vista.Hope this helps.

Note you can also do a low end physical test to see if it responds to a ping.

ping 129.168.0.1 e.g.
