I need a new lid for my Richmond Cedar Work Manufacturing, Sterling Freezer 5 Quart ice cream maker. I understand that Rival bought them out and the motorised 8550-X unit looks like it might have the same lid. The lid turns the cannister and the paddle stays stationary. Do you know where I can purchase a new lid for this ice cream maker? Thanks - Stevo

I have used can from a unit I have that has a broken lid. Not rusted through but some spots. I will part out if interested. Motor still works.

Richmond Cedarworks has folded. Rival/White Mountain do not have parts for the replacement of your canisters. Richmond has went under for bankrupcy or were bought out by some private sector. The parts offered by Rival/White Mountain are different sized for all of the Richmond products. As there are no parts available, anyone looking for parts should be directed to either commercial supply stores or stores that repair/rebuild old kitchen equipment.
