We just purchased a Emerson EMP516-2 MP3 Player and we are having a difficult time trying to figure out how to download music/videos to it. We have Windows Vista and already have Windows Media Player but how do you download into the library? Help.....

all you do is hit the reset button on the back of your mp3 player

Try letting your computer do the work .. If you are operating on a pc use Window Media Player to sync and download music to your player... First put the songs into your library .. connect your mp3 player to your computer and see if the Windows Media Player recognizes it.... If it does you are in business... highlight what songs you want.... right click ....add.... sync list.. when you get the songs you want on yer list sync the mp3 player and your done... hope this helps

need to reformat your music files to the proper format you need, emersons are very picky, they only take a few formats, i believe avi is one of them, the software disk your emerson came with reformats your music and video files to the proper format... read your instruction booklet before using the product...

Windows Media Player has the Sync tab. I believe that WMP 9 does. But not 10. Either way, you can just open up the player in the My Computer folder. Then copy and paste any music files you have.

You have to download iTunes software and make a playlist then sinc the ipod.

I have one of these too and finally figured it out! If you push the menu button on the side, you get a menu that you can scroll through with the left/right arrows on the face. The music icon should be first in the list, but if not, scroll until you get it highlighted. Once highlighted, push menu again to select it. My trouble was in not realizing that the menu button is also the select button!

ok here we go i dunno how i figured this out lol but it took a while. okay so ur gonna go to control panel, device manager, and uninstall the driver for mp3 player. then disconnect mp3 player and reconnect it to reinstall mp3 player. it will recognize it as emerson mp3. right click on it (im running xp) go to properties, click on the tools tab and click on check now on the error checking and select both options of automatic fix file system errors and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. then hit start and it will start the process of fixing the file error. it takes a couple minutes and when its done disconnect the mp3 player n turn it on and voila!!! it works again. if u need more help u can e-mail me at [email protected]. hope this helps yall so u dont throw them away

have you tried syncing your MP3 player through windows media player? plug in your mp3 player then open windows media player, on the top right there is tab says sync. click on refresh devices and your mp3 player should show up on the right window pane in windows media player. From there you can drag all your music onto it and press sync!
