No sound in Windows XP. Cannot set volume in the Sound and Audio Devices

That is because the sound driver is not properly installed on your computer. No need to worry, if you have the driver disc that came with your computer, just insert it to install the driver. If you don't have the driver, right click the my computer icon and select properties. Then click on the device manager button. There will be a list of hardware components installed on your computer. Under that, click on "Sounds, video and game controller" and right click and select update driver.

Also check the option connect to the internet option so that the driver will be installed by searching from the internet.

First connect your spearker to your computer -
1. check you have installed your sound driver in your computer.
2. If there is no installed drivers install drivers from *********** board CD.
3. If you attached sound card in your motherboard, install CD which you have sound driver card.

No internet on old computer lost disc to Soundblaster Model S80220

I'M NOT SURE I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU WERE TRYING TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVER IF YOU WEREN'T CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET? EVEN IF THE GAMING COMPUTER ISN'T HOOKED UP TO THE INTERNET, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO IMPUT ANY DATA FROM A JUMP DRIVE, IF YOU DOWNLOADED IT FROM THE INTERNET. WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION YOU NEED TO USE ANOTHER COMPUTER TO DOWNLOAD THIS DRIVER, THEN INSTALL IT ON YOUR GAMING MACHINE. OK? DOES THIS HELP?

I formated my pc and now i dont have sound!!!

If you have the discs that came with the sound card/computer, run the installation program from that.

If not and you have internet access from that computer and it's a Windows OS, try this:
go to "System" under in "Control Panel."
Click the "Hardware" tab.
Click the "Device Manager" button.
Find the "Audio Devices" (or "sound"...can't remember...it has the megaphone picture next to it)
Expand the tree if it's not already expanded(click the plus sign next to it)
Right click the Icon under the "Audio Devices" with a yellow question mark and select properties. (there might be a selection to "install driver." if so, select that.
When it asks if you want it to search for drivers on the internet, select "yes, this time only"
It should find what you need.

If not you'll need to find out what company has the made your sound card and go to their website or google "(company's name) audio drivers."

If you don't have internet access on that computer, you can find a computer with internet access, find the driver (by going to the company website or googling), and save it to USB memory stick, or CD and copy it to your computer.

Needing Solution

First check to see that volume is up =).

If you have the internet on the computer:
If that's not the problem, uninstall and reinstall your audio driver. When you reinstall, let windows search the internet for it when the option comes up. Select "yes, this time only."

To uninstall your driver, go to your control panel, double click system, select the "hardware tab," click "device manager," find the "audio" or "sound..."(it has the megaphone picture next to it), expand the tree(click the plus sign), right click the icon with the yellow question mark, select uninstall.

To install your driver, Follow the steps until "select uninstall." Instead, select install. That's when you'll want to let windows find the driver for your on the internet.

If you don't have the internet on the computer:
Uninstall the driver like above on the computer.
Go to the manufacturer of the audio card's website and look for drivers or google "(company's name) audio drivers," download it to a USB stick or disc, and copy it to your computer.
