Question about Evenflo Generations

1 Answer

I CANNOT get the arm-rests OFF!!!!! I read some solutions but they didn't tell me what I needed. I see the tabs you're supposed to push in so that the arm-rests will pull off, but I have pushed, pulled, pressed down and lifted them up... and still cannot get them off! What can I do? I HATE HATE HATE this stupid car seat! Why the hell did they make it so hard to get the damn cover off, so it can be washed and the seat itself, wiped down? WTF?!?!

Thank you SO MUCH to all the people who posted the answer: use pliers to remove the armrests! I spent a week screwing around with those tabs and wouldn't have thought to use pliers. THANK YOU!!!!

Grab a pair of pliers! With the pliers, pull the bottom tab out towards you and slide the top tab underneath. Once the top tab is under the bottom, the armrest will pop right off.

Replace left armrest

If you have the new armrest it is pretty straight forward. There are usually only two screws holding these on that can be accessed from under the arm. If you have power controls on the rest they will have push in tabs and just snap in. I use a small screw driver and press in the tabs gently from the side to prevent damage as you get them out.

How to install a windshield wiper blade

You will need new wiper blades before you can perform a wiper blade replacement project. Get your "owner's car manual" as it will tell you everything you need to know about the wipers' size and type. The manual may also give you list of brands you can choose from for you wiper blades.

  1. Buy the correct wiper blades, make sure you have bought the entire blade and not just the rubber insert. Read the instructions properly before you begin. It will show you how to perform the wiper blade replacement.
  2. Take the wiper arms off the windshield. You will have to remove the old wiper blades very carefully so you don't hurt yourself. Wear kitchen gloves if you don't want to get your hands dirty or cut yourself.
  3. Push on the tab of the old wiper blades and pull them out. You can also use a small screwdriver to lift the tab.
  4. Take the new wiper blades and insert it in the arms very carefully. Don't push too hard, but do it gently. It will easily slide itself in. You will hear a "click" sound when the entire blade has gone inside.
  5. Wiggle or shake the new wiper blades to see they are secured properly and won't fly away when you turn them on. If all looks good, lower the wiper arms back on the windshield. And you're done!

I pulled the wiper arm up to clean under it and now I cannot get the wiper arm to go back to the down position. I understand it's probably something simple.

first remove wiper arm again and ignition on then switch on wiper without arm, let it run few second and switch off wiper wait few second and switch off ignition, now it has come to the rest position so you have to install wiper arm at rest position. don't let it to move when you tight it hold it by hand, I think this information be help you if you think right way what i mean. is this information helped you?

I cannot manually move forearm it keeps going back to resting place

Try adjusting the weight on the back of the tonearm. If it's too light the tonearm will just glide back to it's starting point.

How do i get the tab out to tighten the wiper arm ?

I assume that you are speaking of the pivot arm. If I have this wrong please let me know so that I can provide the proper diagram. You have to lift the wiper arm off the windshield and pry the small tab in the diagram aside and let the tension on the wiper arm hold it aside. Here is a link to the pivot arm diagram ~ http://s219.photobucket.com/albums/cc270/anubiscycle/?action=view&current=wiperpivot.jpg

I have a Dell 1720 and the output sensor light keeps blinking. I have read some of the solutions but would like to actually fix it instead of using tape and a quarter since it is for a customer. thanks

I assume that the solutions are telling you to make sure that the output tray has both of the tabs pushed down. There was an issue with these printers in the beginning with the tabs not going back down after being pushed up. On one of my printers, I removed the tab that was getting stuck and it seemed to do the trick.
