Need to change the belt on my dirt devil vision

hi krueger, sorry for the problems but hers an idea how about turning on the vacuum and put your hand under the part where it sucks uo the dirt off the floor and i guessing you would have a little suction, since the brushes are not moving its going to not pick up as well as it should my guess is that the belts need to be replaced even if one is moving, i would change both belt to be sure and also are you smelling a burning smell if so then that would prove fact to needing new belts, hope this helps, Jamie

The belt doesn't have to be broken to be bad. Even if it is stretched or worn it will not turn the brush roll properly. Here is the belt you need and the manual which has instructions:

Your belt is probably worn or broken. You need to replace the belt if you haven't recently. You can get the belts you need here:

sad to say but as far as i know you cannot get any parts for dirt devil vacs only filters and belts and bags sorry 

the belt is to the left of the brush. You need to revome the plastic covering (4 screws) to see it.

there are 4 screws on the bottom 3 around the grid and 1 towards the back of the bottom plate.lift it off, but make sure you clean the old rubber off the motor shaft or your new belt won't last

how do you replace a belt no.5 on a dirt devil vision.

Take all the screws off the bottom to access the beater bar than slide out (belt will also be right there ) just slide a new one on......

Check the dirt cup filter. remove the dirt cup and check for proper suction. if you have good suction, check your belt
