Open the Device Manager by pressing the "Windows logo key+R key" simultaneously and typing devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box and clicking OK.
Next, click on the plus sign next to the "sound, video and game controllers" and check if sound device is listed. If the sound device is listed then check if there is an exclamation mark visible beside the audio device.
If an exclamation mark is visible beside the sound device then right click on it and click Uninstall. After uninstalling the sound device, restart the Computer for the changes to take effect. After restarting the Computer, download the audio driver from the manufacturer site and install it into the Computer.
The sound will start working normally in the Computer.
