I have a Danby DDW399 W countertop dishwasher. I need a replacement tap attachment but have been unable to locate one.

We couldn't figure out how to open the dishwasher after we got all the tubing hooked up and installed, so we unscrewed the bolt holding the little piece of plastic over the hook that holds the latch in place, and finally jiggled it open, but now it won't close back up, and there's no handle to open it with... Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated!

the bottom of the dishwasher where the blade is the part that holds it in place is missing

Was it working before, and now has stopped working? If so, it sounds like it has poor water circulation. It might be caused by a leak. If you have not noticed a leak, it might be clogging due to hard water deposits. Do you live in a region with hard water?

Standing water in where the element is.Not emtying out

Do you wait till the dishwasher beeps 4 times?
This means the cycle is complete. It is supposed to hold the heated water to dry dishes. Drying time is 10 or 15 min.

How do I use it?

You need to use dishwasher powder and approx 1 or2 teaspoonsful is enough. Normally there is a dispenser inside of the dropdown door but it wont hurt to literally just chuck it in the bottom of the machine! Choose a shortish program to start with and use the rinse program first. I rinse which on mine is 12 mins then I use economy wash which is 24 mins. Wait until you are using the wash programmer(not the rinse program)before you put the oap in. You can instead use an all in one tablet and again-just "chuck it in".

Water is full and won't shut off dnby ddw399w countertop dishwasher

Hi, There is a water level switch in the d/w. located in front corner. You can move it up and down while listening for a clicking noise. Sometimes soap will gum them up so they don't move. when it is overflowing, will the water shut off if you turn the machine off or do you need to turn the water off at the faucet?

Call Marcone Supplies, Tampa Florida. (they are Danbys Supplier for parts.) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TYIME CALLING DANBY. They are not helpful. Danby 18" Dishwasher. Model # DDW 180 2W Parts 800-482-6022. Marcone:Very helpful. My door is open; thank goodness; it just will not stay closed. Latch broken on door. I have to order the "whole handle assembly" (all one piece which includes the door handle latch too.) $4.16 shipping from PA. I am in Calif. Total $12.53. 2 screws. Easy. I can do it, I know I can.
