Question about Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

Central heat won't turn off instantly.

I have central heat and after I turn off the heater with the switch on the Honeywell panel the heater does not turn off instantly. Sometimes it take 10 minutes to turn off. Is this normal?

you will only be able to have the central heating on seperately if the system is fully pumped. Why would you not want the water to heat? it is more cost effective to use the residual heat to heat the water and keep the temperature up. Costs alot more to heat a cold house and a cold water tank

St6400c thermostat wont run the central heating independantly

This does not sound like a thermostat problem. I would be looking for a zone valve or circulator pump problem.

Central honeywell air conditioner

Sounds like it may have lost power. Check the breaker and the fuse at the furnace. If they are all in the on position and working then it sounds like you may need a technician. If the display is blank on the thermostat you may also want to replace the batteries.

Central heating programmer

is the buttons still working, eg, boost, on/off etc? or is the heating not working?

If so the LCD/Control panel may have lost power, this usually a switch/or fuse that may have been accidently powered of or blown
