HI EVERYONE My lap travelmate 5520 doesn't turn on, the greelight is on but when i push the power up button it ust doesnt turn on... it doesn`t do anything

    well it hasn`t been dropped or wet, i've already taked memory out and rubbed with a pencil's eraser. i've also changed battery and hard drive with a workmate that has the same laptop and still the power button didn`t do anything..........

    The hard drive still works 'cause i did a backup in another pc..... what can i do???

Try taking memory out and putting back in ok,
has unit been dropped or wet?

How do i get the c drive out of y acer travelmate 5520?,everyone says there is a screw holding i in but i cant find one!
you should be able to find a Youtube video for this.

if not quite often the screw is on the outside or is on the opposite side for example under the keyboard.

also if your sure that you have all the screws out then it could just be the HDD is held in quite tightly so just give it firm but gentle pull

Some times my Acer travelmate 5520 does not start up properly, the desk top background comes on and thats it, so i have to turn off at the power button and try again may be trice more before it will s
it sound like explorer isn't starting.

this isn't a permanent fix but can get you working again without a restart.

when you see the desktop press ctrl+shift+esc this will open task manager,

now click file run and type the following:

explorer.exe

this will now open explorer and you will be able to work as normal

Backlight not working on acer travelmate 5520 lap top lap top is working ok but screen is very dark
You can buy the parts to fix these on Ebay. There are two components. 1 is the light source itself. (Very fragile)
The other component is the the power inverter for the light. Both have a history of going bad. They have to be removed to be tested. Probably better to replace both as a set.

Phone doesnt want to turn on, it is stuck on a rainbol screen
if your phone is not rooted (you dont have root access) then you just need to load either DREAIMG.nbh or an official t-mobile update.zip onto the sd card (not in a folder) turn on the phone while holding the camera button (this will get to to the rainbow screen when your phone is working) and it should have instructions (push power button to apply update) if it doesn try just pushing the power button and it should start updating. if that doesnt work, take it to a specialist

check if dvd drive will eject if not
if it doesnt - try another socket
if still gets nothing - change fuse in plug
if same - try another power adapter (preferably from same manufacturer and model)
If still doesnt get power try get new power supply unit from repair shop or get quote for cost to fix
