Question about JVC KD-G421 CD Player
CD Player will accept disc, loads as normal but flashes 00000 A0 and wont play. When listening to radio the screen flashes 0000 A. Any idea what this is please?

Mine works again!!!
I removed the battery from the car, because I planned to change it. The KD-G421 worked all fine, after I connected the battery again.
So I would say, that the problem, at least in my case, was resolved by removing the radio from the power supply and connecting to a +12V batterie again. Allow 1/2 hour of power supply removal.
The root cause of the problem may be a voltage drop below 12V, which might delete some internal memory, although the radio receives and plays still music at lower voltage. After disconnection from the power supply, the radio starts up in the Demo mode again...
Hope this helps / Patrick

SOURCE: Error Codes
I've had a friend to stay who had this problem. I downloaded the user manual from the internet and the error code is not mentioned. I followed the procedure to reset the radio and this solved the problem.
Take the cover off the stereo and locate the small hole (towards the centre) which houses the reset switch. Insert something like a paper clip into the hole and hold for a few seconds. Then replace the cover and all should work. You'll loose all the radio presets.
