Question about Sony DAV-BC150 System

1 Answer

Speakers Crackling Sony DavBc 150,  We hooked it up to a new tv and the speakers started to crackle.  We did a cold reset and they stopped for a few days.  It started again and did a cold reset again and it didnt do anything to make it stop.  However, the cold reset did do away with the problem I was having with the door not wanting to open.  We have had it 3 yrs but havent used it much until recently.

Having same problem with mine crackling took it to a authorized sony repair shop and he told me it was over $260 just for the part not including labour. Going up tomorrow to pick it up not getting it fixed. I will try to get him to give me the info on the part and let you know.

LGTV 42LCD - LOUD CRACKLING SOUND ON START UP -

Either your main pcb has a defective auido circuit or speakers are bad. Doubt it is the speakers or it would do it all the time.

I have a Marantz 2275 receiver hooked to some JBL speakers. I noticed one of the speakers crackling. I swithched the speaker wires around and now the other speaker crackles so I'm guessing it is

Doesn't sound like it's a speaker - more likely a fried chip or transistor causing harmonic distortion.
It's usually more cost effective to replace modern audio components than to fix them.

Hello
There is some loose solderings or leaky ceramic capacitors at the audio output section of your sound card. Check it.

Sound fluxuates, crackling sound samsungTX-R3079WH sound goes up and down automaticly

If the sound FLUCTUATES up & down, try turning off the AutoVolume in the sound menu. You didn't say if it's one or all speakers crackling. Crackling is either a speaker or circuitry issue. Adjust the balance away from the speaker that crackles, if it stops, that speaker is probably "fried". If it still crackles, I'd turn off the speakers and run the sound thru a stereo for the quick, cheap fix. My Samsung (10+ years old to be fair) crackles due to a circuit issue but if I SMACK the left side speaker (behind which is the sound board and side panel connectors) it stops for a while. Maddening. I think I broke it squeezing it into the furniture it's in, pressing on the protruding RCA plugs. Dumb design.

Channel 2 crackles

Make sure your speaker wiring does not come close to the 12v power cable running for your amplifier. If your amplifier's 12v power cable runs on the drivers side of the vehicle, run your speaker cables on the passengers side and make sure your tweeters have a high pass filter to stop any pickup of engine sound (When you are driving you *WILL* notice it at high RPM. a HPF (High Pass Filter) will also stop those nasty hissing sounds on S's.

Speakers are crackling

This could be caused by one of your speaher wires being shorted out to ground, OR one of the speaker terminals in the doors or rear coming into contact with metal. If you remove the unit and test it with the speakers hooked directly to the back of the unit and they do not crackle, then the unit is fine. If they still crackle - then you either have two diferent sets of bad speakers, Or more than likely the outputs of the kenwood have been damaged by an improper installation in the past.
