I am using zte bsnl evdo ZTE AC8700 modem for about two months. i have installed zte modem on a freshly installed laptop with windows 7. it was working great for two days . then after installing some software i had to restart my system while still connected to the internet via zte. i restarted it and later when i opnened the zte dialer it gives the following error... Microsoft visual c++ runtime error! /Ztewireless/app.exe has requestwd to terminate in an unusual way. then it says Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: App.exe Application Version: 2.2.4.0 Application Timestamp: 48b28e0d Fault Module Name: App.exe Fault Module Version: 2.2.4.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 48b28e0d Exception Code: 40000015 Exception Offset: 000b8356 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1097 Additional Information 1: 2872 Additional Information 2: 28721257313844f1c59c0d4941fcb9be Additional Information 3: 2591 Additional Information 4: 25915cee82b2f649d0b893757ef2ea39 ... . . . later i uninstalled the dialer software and tried to install it again. While installing it says INSTALLER.EXE stppoed working. then when i open it , it gives the same app.exe visual c++ runtime error. . . . now i am connecting to internet through network and sharing center, which automatically created a dialup connection using zte modem. now i do not have the option of seeing the connection speed/ tower reception etc which was present in the dialer UI . . . . . Anybody have any idea of why this happens? P.S: i have my project work due and desperately need the solution. i would be grateful if you could help. P.S: i am sure that this problem started because i restarted while i was connected to the net. and ia m sure this is not a compatibility problem since it was working fine for two days..
