Try reinstalling quicktime. Go on control panel uninstall quicktime. Then go to this url:http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Download it again. And install it again. Itunes should now work.

If it doesn't, for Video problems: Open QuickTime Player and go to 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'QuickTime Preferences' -> 'File Types' -- check here to see if the file format of your problem video files is selected.

For Audio problems: Open QuickTime Player and go to 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'QuickTime Preferences' -> 'Audio' -- Here you will see a Device is needed that will play your sound. Select 'Audio Playback and Recording Devices', If you are having an Audio problem it may be due to having no device or an improper device.

Good Luck

What should i do to get my sound device and controller?

Hi riteshscorpi,

Since you have a multimedia audio controller or Sound Card installed to your motherboard, reboot your PC and enter the CMOS/BIOS setup and disable the Onboard Audio.
Save your new settings.
The PC should immediately detect your Sound Card and ask for driver.
Install the Sound Card driver completely and reboot your PC.
Finally, configure the Audio properties to your desired adjustments.

Hope this helps you a lot.

Thank you for using FixYa!

Error message when logging into ITunes and audio will not play. "Itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/video playback may not operate properly." I have searched...

you should uninstall audio drivers then install the updated drivers for your audio.

then un-install iTunes and its all apple product using revo un-installer. that will ask to remove all the registry so while uninstalling the programme select all and delete them.

then download and install latest iTunes.

it will start working.

if it doesn't you can restore your computer to a previous date on which your itunes was working properly.

to do so.

click on Start >>>All Programms>>> Accessories>>System Tools>> System Restore>> Select the Date and Restore your Computer.

Enjoy!!

I tunes has detected a problem with audio configuration audio/video playback

Go to Start> Run

Type in 'Services.msc' without the quotes.

Find Windows Audio in the list. Most likely it has not 'started', as stated beside each of the items in the list. Click on it, then click 'start'. Re open your itunes and it should be working.

No audio when i try to play tunes in itunes

FIRST try the simple solutions. Check if your speaker wires are plugged into the proper ports.
If you are unsure, it won't hurt to try different configurations.
(If you hear sound from other devises such as plating a CD of the "Microsoft Sound" when starting up or shutting down, then the speakers are wired correctly.)
If this is OK then try...
Go to your "Device Manager" (Right click on  'My Computer', select 'Properties', click the 'Hardware' tab, click the 'Device Manager' button. Click the "Sound video and game controllers"). If there is some kind of a "Warning" icon superimposed on the 'speaker' icon there is your problem!
If no "Warning" icons then try...

One at a time...
Double click on each of the devises that have 'Audio' in the listings.
Click the "Properties" tab, look for any "Warning" icons
Uninstall the DRIVERS for THAT DEVICE only. See instructions below.
Click on the faulty devise and hit the remove button, follow the instructions given by the program.
Shutdown, restart, the device will automatically reinstall by the "Found New Hardware" program.
