I know when I flash my bios a lot of things go through my mind until it is over because the last thing i want to see is the computer shutdown. To answer your question it is possible the update you received may have had errors in the files causing the computer to go on a beeping rampage.The only thing I can suggest is contact Toshiba's customer and technical support system to try and get answers.

Remove the ram cover, with laptop switched off Remove the 2 ram modules and insert one in the slot that is furthest away from the motherboard Just underneath the ram is a thin plastic sheet, gently peel back to reveal two solder contacts they should say B500, TOUCH THESE WITH A FLAT BLADED SCREWDRIVER while powering on the laptop, the bios password should go. Replace ram and sheet, replace ram cover reboot.
You'll need a special tool that only Toshiba has. I believe you can get yours cleared for FREE if you tell them that all of a sudden out of nowhere you have a bios password. Stick to that story because they've already admitted to the problem with many of their laptops. You'll have to find an authorized Toshiba repair center to take care of it for you. Otherwise I believe they charge around $100 to clear it.
Don't bother to try the cmos battery trick, it doesn't work on your model. The password is stored on an onboard chip.
Ouch, unless you know that password its not looking too good for you. take it into a computer technitian to look at it and they should be able to fix it and get it into working order again
There is a jumper that will clear the BIOS password on most of the newer Toshiba laptops such as this model. Here is a link to an article showing where the jumpers are located on various models of Toshiba laptops.
First of all i'll need to know what type of laptop it is,because different laptop has differents ways of reseting the BIOS. You can open the laptop and just take out the battery for a couple seconds and put it in back ( make sure that the power os unplugged before opening.) If the laptop has no battery then you will have to download or get a manual for the laptop hence then its going to tell you to touch 2 jumpers in order to reset the BIOS.
