My Philips 60P8341 TV would not turn off. Turned off power strip and tv would not turn on. Waited an hour and tv turned back on, then tv turned off and power button blinks and then theres a click the button lights up then it starts blinking again. Any Ideas?

The Maganvox TV was still under warranty, I called 1-800-705-2000 and talked with a TV Tech. He instructed me to unplug the TV for one minute. This is called a "hard-reset". I waited for one minute, plugged the TV directly into the outlet, turned the TV on and it worked.
The reason I plugged the TV directly into the outlet and not the power strip, is because I think the fuse burned out in the power-strip.

Unplug it hold down the Channel Down button and the Volume Up button unplug it for 10 seconds then plug it back in and continue holding them down for another 10 seconds then release. I had the same issue and this fixed it now I have another though *~*

This TV probably needs the convergence amp IC's replaced. When they go bad the TV will not turn on.Call a good TV Tech and tell him you want the IC's upgraded to STK 392-150 instead of the original STK 392-120 and check all resistors in the circuit for proper value. They could be burned or open.

I have tv proyection philips model 50p8342, it is blinking red color on the power switch botton four times and then pause then another four time continuosly.

that is usually related to the LSB large signal board will eventually need replacement. Most repair shops will not troubleshoot the LSB at component level, they will opt for replacing the entire circuit board. If you need more info or help to locate a LSB board. please let me know.

I had the same problem, I had a repair man to come out n he told me what the problem wasn that it will cost around $300.00. So i took it apon myself n removed the keyboard behind where the power buttons are. I waited 10 minutes and replaced it then I had no problems for3 years. Now that its started back up i need to replace it, but they don't sale the part n e more. But I found a substitue part on Sears direct parts n the part number is RFR-PTS-28 they look different but work the same. Right now the price is $28.00.

Short in powersupply check secondary fuse and all other fuses too. Were there a color problem before this/ Because most of these set have convergence problems. The amps May need to be changed and resistors around them.

You should probaly get the service manual. you can get one at the following link for 15.99 and they provide free support to help you diagnose the set. they email them out fast after placing a order. Have used them many times.
