Ghost on the screen, blue in color

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a solution

This sounds like the most common thing that fails on projection TV's, regardless of the brand. The convergence circuit has two STK392-110 IC chips mounted on heat sinks to drive the convergence yokes. They typically last anywhere from 5-10 years, then they fail. A more robust part is now available (STK392-150) as a direct drop-in replacement. My shop has installed these IC's in hundreds of projection sets and had fewer than 1% of them come back with repeat failures. Also check the following low-ohm feedback resistors to make sure they did not go out of tolerance:

• RK42: 2.7
• RK46: 2.2
• RK58: 3.9
• RK52: 3.3
• RK50: 3.3
• RK54: 2.2

If you want to adjust focus and screen there is a focus block some sets they can be found on the front behind the gril then behind a cut out held in place by screws if not check from the rear. But a ghost like you say sounds like a convergence problem
