I have a Tom Tom One N14644 Ver 8.014 that displays "No valid GPS signal". I used the GPS to get to an address the other night, and now it gives me a map, screen choices, but says waiting for valid GPS Signal. Advice?

Need to update my tom tom. I have no idea how to do it.

Go to TOM TOM´s homepage http://www.tomtom.com/services/
Connect the GPS unit to the PC using the USB2 connection.
You will be given the possibility to restore the unit´s files. This takes a while, but it solved the problem for me.

you need to connect tom tom to the computer and download new updates from tom tom home.

my tomtom wont get a signal and is saying are you in a building?

- Connect to computer
- Delete all loose files, NOT ANY FOLDERS OR THEIR CONTENTS
- Update software through TT Home

I have lost the signals and now it does not catch the signal again, no matter what so ever I did, can you help me to resolve it and make it working.

my tomtom worked well the other day. have not use it for 5 days. try to turn it on today, does not work. try recharging for 2 hrs still the same, does not turn on. please help

If TomTom is stating there's is "No GPS Device" then you don't have TomTom configured properly. You need to set TomTom to use "Other Wired GPS", select 4800 or 9600 bps and set to COM4. Once this is done it should detect the GPS and it will either show you your current position or it will say no valid GPS signal.

Use GPSTest application (search on google or on this website) to test your GPS. It will automatically scan your device, detect the GPS and give you a lock on your current position.
