Any Ideas

same problem as above. turns itself on and off...scans looking for a signal when on.
mine just turns on and off no channel seching
The TV will randomly turn on and turn back off again as described above. After upon further inspection I have found an component that looks bad on the circuit board . It has a black/brown spot on the board. So I'm thinking this part is the problem. To be it looks like it could be a on-board relay. I found a part # on the top of it (MZ73LG9RM) After trying to google it and going to various on-line electronics stores searching for the part and having no luck. If anyone can find the part please post something.
