This message comes when your computer is not getting the IP address from the router.
There are possible reasons for that.
1. DHCP on the router may be disabled.
2. If your network is secured , then you might not be typing the correct network key.

In both the cases , you will need to check the settings of the router.
You will need to access the router set up.

How to use router without using wifi in belkin n150

This model Belkin wireless router has 4 LAN ports so you can connect a LAN cable from this wireless router to your computer.
I suggest you disable the wireless in the router so no one can access your network and Internet. If you cannot disable the wireless then you can setup WPA2 encryption to secure your wireless network or just remove the aerial off the wireless router.

Netgear 111v3 usb linksys wireless router windows xp pro NG wizard shows all dots 90% + for signal strength, but cannot renew IP address so no internet

Do you have encryption enabled on your wireless router? There is a strong possibility that you have entered the wrong encryption key (network key) while connecting to the wireless network.

You might not be getting a correct ip from your wireless router.

first, try to power down the computer and your netgear router for about a minute or two. turn the router on first. once the lights are stable on the router, boot up your computer. if your still not able to access the internet. try this

go to start > control panel > network and internet > network connections or network and sharing center > right click on wireless network connection and go to properties > highlight "internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" > left click on properties, the wireless network connnection properties will then be opened.
make sure that the radio buttons are on "obtain an ip address automaticaly" & "obtain DNS server address automaticaly".

Netgear WG111v3 USB adapter not connecting desktop to Belkin router. this notebook is working OK. The adapter has been working OK for about 3 weeks.

Try to download the newest driver from belkin that matches the version and model. Uninstall the old driver and install the new one. This should fix the issue. you will need a pc that is connected / working to the internet to get this done.

My Computer is going toooooooo slow !!!!!!!!!!!!

theres a million things that can interfer with wireless...tin...cell phones, cordless phones and the like..but 11mbps is still really fast and chances are, your internet connection isnt even half that so your speed on the net shouldnt be effected...1mbps is usualy enough to load any website in seconds.
if your PC is slow, not jsut on the internet but in general (starting up, running apps) then its an issue with the pc and not the wireless.
but as a heads up, not trying to be mean, but netgear and belkin are cheap equipment.

Low signal from my wireless adaptor / router

Have you tried connecting the laptop in a different wireless network? Try changing the channel in your router and you may also upgrade the firmware of your router.

Internet connection

First up, check that the router is broadcasting SSID and also disable any security so you can test the system and establish a link. Once you have done this you can add security in later

You may find THIS program useful in your testing to establish that the router is transmitting and there are no other routers in the area on the same channel.

Also check that the USB wifi is enabled and transmtting.

It may be suseful to post the exact model numbers of the USB wifi and the router along with your system OS.

Connection problem

if it's going offline, then it's losing the signal, or is recieving a low signal, it should be at 54mbps but when it gets below around 24mbps, it will disconnect and look for a stronger connection in your area, or disconnect from the net altogether.

Put your router in a higher and better line of sight to your adapter, walls and floors can block the signal and check that it's not your router that is losing the connection.

Connection problems

If Internet sharing is set up correctly one pc will be the one that connects directly to internet, the other will connect through a gateway or other device connected to your network. Check they have'nt both got the same IP address. Is this related to last problem, did you get the wireless card working wirelessly online?
