Trouble getting ''copy'' from copier to sorter. gets stuck in btwn
My canon np6035 copier will make copies just fine but has trouble getting the ''copy'' from the copier to the sorting tray. the copied paper gets stuck in between so that sorter must be detached in order to undo the paper jam. the machine, however, does not recognize this as a paper jam and thinks its done doing its job. advice anyone ?

This is near the exit area right before copy exits into the tray or sorter It appiles heat and pressure to the copy as it goes between the upper and lower fuser rollers so that the toner melts into your copies and won"t rub off keeping the image from smearing Often the copies will be warm--this is normal.
Check the sorter and exit part gears.Remove the sorter unit and make a copy.If the machine worked the problem is in the sorter unit,if not workwd the problem in the exit unit.If the sorter is defected you need to de-reassambly the unit, checked the mechanical components, sensors, motors and gears, and realignament the bin sections. For more information and suggestion please contact me.
You have an issue with your staple finisher, probably need to inspect the stapler unit itself to make sure nothing is jammed in it and it moves freely. If you can't clear the error then most likely the unit is defective.
A E532 code deals with the sorter. Are the bins moving at all, also try to unjam the stapler. Also have you tried to let the machine warm up with the sorter moved away from the copier? How about this have you tried to turn the copier OFF then disconnect the sorters plug from the back of the copier and turn it back ON with the sorter moved away from the copier. If it works you are all set. I believe your copier is a older model and for the 10 bin sorter that it comes with may not be worth repairing. If it is a 10 bin sorter, it was never a good design from Canon, they work or don't work.. Good Luck...
loks to me like you have a problem... serious problem might be time to go buy a new machine. i know of the best place to get a fully functional machine. GUARANTEED (858) 292-4129 KCDS/BMU www.bmusd.com
sounds like a bad control panel. Unfortunately I've had to replace quite a few of those when I use to work for Canon on those models.
Try this, press really ******* any key see it changes. Not sure if you are tech oriented but you can remove the panel and get to the main board ( a lot of tiny screws) but not hat hard, once you get to the board you can push the buttons on it and see if it changes.
Do you get a paper jam or is the finsher not showing that is empty? You may have a broken bin or a miss alined bin or you have a lazy sensor flag. The copier should give you a idea where the paper jam is... May need more info. on this one..
The E510 is a sorter feed moter problem moter (M1) You can see if the sorter moter turnes if it does not, replace it
If you want a quick cure to get you copying disconnect the sorter remove the communications lead you have to remove the sorter completely and the copier will work.
Thank You
E532 is a sorter problem. Have you replaced the staples recently? If so try to remove any jamed staples from the stable cartride and try to reinstall as shown on the inside of the soter front door. You can also try to turn the copier off and unplug the sorter and reattach it and turn on the power. See what happens, if that does not work and you don't really use the sorter, unplug it and detach it from the copier and make a exit tray and there you go. If you do use it call for service.
