No sound, so far everything else seems to work. we have tested and checked all the wiring, other game consoles have sound but not our wii, so we believe everything is correctly connected.

I need to know if Wii comes with sound. Mine does not. I am plugged into the TV front and after Wii sports begins I have to put the TV on mute as the TV audio continues as before I got trhe Wii going. Does not seem right.

what colour cables are plugged into what devices? If you are using the standard (at least in Australia) video cable it will have 3 plugs, yellow for the picture and Red and White for Audio.

Those red and white leads need to be plugged into something that can receive a stereo signal, like most likely your TV or a stereo system.

Maybe your RGB plug is damaged. (Your Yellow-Red-White Plug)
And try to reset the Wii, this will reset everything + the audio settings of the Wii

Cusor wont appear on screen after setup

I had this problem too, and I found out what was wrong. I hope it's as easy of a fix for you as it was for me, the only thing is if the reason is the same. If your Wii sensor bar is not wireless, carefully check the wire for frays. Once I brought my Wii to my cousin's house and had the same problem you have. We did everything we could think of, then I checked the wire. It was frayed. I couldn't understand how it happened because we barely ever touched it, but we just replaced the Wii bar and everything was fine. Even if you can't see any frays on the outside of the wire, it's possible that the damage is on the inside of the wire. Try testing another wii bar on your system if this happens or if you don't find any visible frays. I hope this solves your problem. I know how frustrating this can be. Let me know if everything worked out!

Internet connection

1 Go to the Wii option menu

2 Go to settings

3 Go to Wii system settings (slide 2)

4 Click internet

5 Go to connection settings

6 Chose a access point

7 Click on wired connection

8 Get a Wii LAN adapter

9 Hook everything up and test connection.

Since I don't have wired internet, I don't know what to do after this but I hope that this much helped.

No sound on nintendo wii

We ended up sending our Wii to Nintendo of America. They were quick to repair it. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised how good the service was. You have to login to the Nintendo website and report the problem. If your Wii is registered and under warranty, they will send you a prepaid shipping label. You sent the console in, and they ship it back. The whole thing took about a week. The website allows you to track the repair and shipping process.
