STR-S6307 is not compatible with STR-S6707,
ON STR-S6707 YOU CAN USE STR-S6708 or STR-S6709

What is the model and make?...its vary rare for any set to show 300 Volt on the main filter on the hot side of the power supply...generally with the set off and power correction factor inoperative it should be about 162 and go up to about 340 with the set on and power factor correction active.

Check all the other components in the power supply section.

This is the SMPS Power suply drive and the IC fails ONLY if there is fault in the circuit. You need to check on the SMPS section

Next you need to check if the LINE output transformer has failed. If so this will have a higher current drain and so switch off the SMPS unit. check for the EHT drivers, capacitors in the HT circuit.

Before replacing the STR, have you checked all the components related to it? When STR burns out some of the nearby components, such as zener diodes and other resistors will also get damaged. You just replace the components, especially, zener diodes, in case it does not show any fault, replace it. Connect a 100W filament type bulb in seris with the power supply, and switch on the set. This will reduce the power concumton at the begining, and we can check its heat effect also, after all are ok we can connect directly. Check the smoothing capacitor at the secondary 130VDC. you can check the elco 100/160 Volt and replace it, or the problem may be caused by IC EEPROM.C2404,(2406 0r C2408 )
