Photo printing When I print a copy of a photo it looks like it has a yellow coat of ink over the whole thing. The photo is fine. it just has that yellow tint. Even the white part of the borders are yellow. Any ideas? Kevin

I still have the yellow cover and now I have white lines from top to bottom. I don't know what to try.

I tried it again. Now, when I print from the internet, all is fine but I get that yellow overlap when I print from a hand fed copy. It only does this when I try to copy from another document. Any other ideas?

This is due to the ink cartridge leaking, try cleaning the cartridges and make a color copy from the printer to fix the issue.

This might be due to the ink. Try to clean the cartridges and check for the color copy from the front panel of the printer. If the issue is same, try with the power cycle and semi-full steps as follows

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the connection port.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.

Semi-full steps:

1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.

2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.

Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.

Epson Stylus Photo R800 not printing certain color

You may have blocked print head nozzles.
Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required.
A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

Yellow lines appear in printed outputs on my Epson 1280. Printer was inactive for about 5 months. ....have cleaned and soaked print head several times. Lines are less intense, but still there. Thanks...

There are two possible causes: 1. The ink dries on the plate around the head output (sprayer), 2. Thin coatings of yellow head broken. The first possibility can be tested by printing blank pages (or just containsthe line - full pages). If after about 50 pages to print, yellow lines had been lost, then the printer is ready for use again. But if not, then thesecond possibility happens. At the output of the head there is a thincoating. If until the coating is breached, then the ink will drip continues, although there is no voltage or current that supplies the headmicropiezzo.

My photo and copy quality is ****

It seems that the yellow nozzle is clogged.
Can you run a nozzle check and see if yellow is represented?
If not you can try to run several cleaning cycles. This does use ink though.

Prints photos with yellow horizontal stripes.Hv downloaded HP printing diagnostic utility and no errors were reported. If just using scanner to copy photos, prints fine but copying photos in library p

go into the printer and do a test print. start>printer & faxes>right click on the printer in question>properties>printer preference button> test print ... try the printer's own test print. This is usually caused by a poor print head, low ink, poor cartridge or the need for calibration. Look in the maintenance tab in the printer properties for head cleaner, jet cleaner etc. This also happens with refill ink cartridges.

Try to press the photo and copy at the same time it will print a diagnostic page
look how is the quality of the text.
if it prints very light or if it doesnt print open the access door and try to remove the ink cartridges and put it back again and make sure you hear a click sound after you put the cartridges back in and close the printer access door
try to print again a demo page press photo and copy and check if there is improvement
if no improvement open the kodak aio home center software click on the question mark(?) on the upper right corner and click on maintenance..then select printhead cleaning. After the printhead cleaning print again demo page (press photo and copy at the same time) if still no improvement on the quality of the text call the kodak hotline 1 800 421 6699..you might need a printhead replacement..
