A full feature software and driver package for Windows 7 is not available for your product. However, the Windows 7 operating system installed on your computer contains a basic driver solution for your product. With the basic driver, some of the advanced product features are not available. However, using the workaround procedures in this document, you can still print from a software program. You can also import and view images on a memory card, if your product has a memory card slot. Use the following instructions to install the basic driver in Windows 7, and then review the workaround procedures to use the available features for your product.
Please ignore the previous post, it was for a different printer and was still on my clipboard.
Here is the response I planed for your item:
I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Hi there,
Problem : Print is light or faded.
Cause 1) The media might not meet HP specifications.
Solution : Use media that meets HP specifications.
Cause 2) One or more print cartrtridges might be low. If you are using non-HP print cartridges, no messages appear on the device control panel or in the HP Toolbox.
Solution : Replace any low print cartridges.
If none of the print cartrridges is low or empty, remove the print cartridges one at a time and inspect the toner roller in each to see if the roller is damaged. If so replace the print cartridge.
Hope this helps. Please rate the response.
Thanks.
Have a good day.
