My sansa mp3 player will not charge or come on when i hook it up to the cmputer nothing happens

Hi,
This problem indicates that it is stuck from inside . You just keep on pressing menu option and keep on pressing the center button for 2 minutes it will solve your problem .
It actually worked for me that's why I am sharing this .

Device may require a device driver. Visit http://sandisk.com and check perhaps it require a device driver.

Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable.

Computer in Hibernation mode
Make sure that the computer isn’t entering hibernate or sleep mode while the device is connected. The computer must be on in order to charge your player.

USB Port 2.0
Make sure your player is connected USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).

USB Port location
Try plugging in different USB port (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); sometimes the front USB ports have problem charging up the device.

Battery
Make sure the battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

Latest firmware
Make sure to update firmware by downloading and installing the Sansa Firmware Updater.

plug it into your usb port and open your MY COMPUTER menu and it should be listed under drives just like a disc or floppy

Sorry to ask the obvious, but are you sure the battery is charged properly?

take the back off with eyeglass screwdriver; remove battery and reinstall
