How do you change a paratonal control on ps2 - Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console

Of course, ps3 can not be used on the ps3 controller. Can not be mixed used.
Or you can dial the Sony service center for advance information, it's better.

hi, the problem you are having is going to be with the control or the control port on the ps2 what you need to do is either try another pad or try your pad in another ps1 or ps2 this way you would find out if the pad was at fault or the ps2 was at fault.

The chances are changing the pad would solve your problem.

Sir your controller wire is damaged......in most of the cases its damaged from right behind the plug or controller it self.......all you have to do is to try changing the wire if you've got an old controller that don't work either change the wires of two.....use a screwdriver to takeout screws.....put the wires in the same manner as you took them out........it might work........you should also consider buying a new controller for your ps2 seriously........!

Sorry, I didn't quite understand the question, so are you actually using the wireless PS2 controller on the PS3?? Or it is for the PS2??
When i had a PS2, I brought a 'Logitech' controller for it and it worked well for about 6months, then after that the analogues started playing up and going funny. Same thing with the 'MadCats' PS2 contorller.
Now I have a PS3, and I just brought a new SONY PS3 Dual shock controller and works perfect. The logitech one is half the price, but i trust Sony more than other brands coz it is more reliable. I dunno if this helps, but if you're willing to spend abit more it's actually worth it.
You can check on eBay for an original PS2/3 controller which would cheaper than buying one in the stores.

i know what you mean try pulling the button and then on the game on menu change the controll or buy a new one in game stop for $15.00

take batteries out control and put back in...turn off ps2 and while holding the button on the ir piece connected to ur ps2..turn it on and dont let go till game has fully come on...should work..if the red controller light still keeps blinking after doin it a few times then change your batteries

is u r ps2 modify if yes than try this
turn off u r ps2 and press 2 buttons togather trangle and cercle now turn it on u get one menu in u r screen and in first line of menu u get ntsc wrriten press X buttons u get it change turn it in pal o r ntsc
now press start button in u r joy stick it will display setting saved now turn off ps2 and turn it on now u get colours in u r games . REMEMBER U R PS2 SHOULD BE MODIFY SO U CAN DO ABOVE SETTINGS

Ask yourself a few questions: Is the PS2 overheated? Was it under any physical contact? Try plugging the PS2 in a different power outlet, then try taking out all controllers and plug one controller in the second player controller spot.
