Won't work Green light on, touch screen nothing happens, cannot turn off

My TT 510 never got past the legal screen I Accept, then went blank and did not turn off (the back light was still on). I reset it and it turned on went to the questions again and again failed to pass the lega; page I Accept tap angain nothing. It again did not turn off it just goes to the Tom Tom page goes to answer questions, left hand right hand time set time, country maps tutoral yes no, ok on the tutoral, then back to the legal page..........I did put in my street address the first time it turned on but it never found the sat signal, the screen never went to the drive display in back and white prior to finding the signal. It was purchased as a refurbished unit with a 1 yr TT waranty, I think its a lemon.........does anyone have any answers??
