Sounds like the "Pure Audio" mode is turned on. This mode is designed to use the amps power to dedicate to audio processing and sound quality. It turns off all front panel lights and video processing. Check you remote or thr front panel of the Onkyo for a "Pure Audio" button.

Onkyo TX-SR875 Everything works fine, just no main unit display? Any ideas?

R9304 or R9310 are broken, if no light in display. This are 10 ohm resistor sitting on the board behind the volum knob in front.

I CANT HERE OR PUT OUT I NDONT KNOW WERE THE NOBS SHOULD BE

Big Knob settings from left to right...
First knobset...inner turn "volume" fully clockwise
... outer "squelch" fully counterclockwise
Second knobset...both inner and outer knobs fully clockwise
Third knob...chose which mode you want to use...Am or Fm (If your radio has been modified to TX/RX CB frequencies, chose AM)
Fourth knob...chose your band (If your radio has been modified to TX/RX CB frequencies, chose band D/A)
The only other knob that is important is the high/low power switch. It selects the band from the pair chosen by the band knob. I don't know if band D corresponds to high or low, so try both settings until one works.

If you can't TX or RX with these settings either there is no one talking at that time or your radio, antenna, or cable might be defective. You should get a copy of the owners manual to fully learn how to chose bands and adjust the settings. I've given you a starting point that should work but may not be optimum for all conditions.

Hello

maybe you have defective power transistor output and this is shorted, or the problem is in the power section like shorted diode shorted capacitors or open circuit may cause this, and the STK IC if shorted you got protect warning..

My unit switches between speakers A, B and neither, while warming up. Lasting anywhere from 5min-15mins until it settles. Then speakers A can be selected and it will stay there. How do I fix this?

I see that I am not only one with same issue with TX-DS747, and would be grateful if someone could post some more info about this problem.

Amps and sub-woofer not working

Enter into the Audio Setup mode(press and hold volume button for at least 1 second). Next, repeatedly push the volume button until the display shows "2 ZONE". Make sure this feature is turned off. Hold the volume button again for at least 1 second to leave Audio Setup mode.

Now you need to make sure the Subwoofer Output is turned on. Do this by holding down(AM position) on the control knob(toggle stick) for at least 1 second. Each time the button is pressed, the Subwoofer Output is turned ON/OFF. the display should show "SW ON".

Next, you can go into Audio Control mode(press but do not hold volume button). Keep pressing on the volume knob until "Sub-WLevel" is displayed. Here you can adjust the amount of gain for the Subwoofer ranging from -15 to +15.

I hope this fixes your problem with it.

Cheers
