Question about Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U 42 in. LCD HDTV
My Sharp Aquos was damaged during delivery. Because my basement was getting remodeled I only checked the outside for damages. The screen on the outside looks fine, however when the TV is turned on the inside looks like a cracked window. I was thinking that if the only thing wrong is the inner screen maybe this piece could be replaced.
I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com

It's the LCD panel damage. You need to replace the whole LCD panel to get this problem fixed.
