Hi, I have installed Realtek ALC888S driver on an Acer lowcost PC but the device 'HD AUDIO' shows up twice - once with the working driver and secondly without driver installed. So I remain with one device that has no good driver installed. The effect occurs both in Windows XP and in Windows 2003. Anyone any ideas?
Tks
Ronald
Question, does your pc have realtech audio built into the motherboard or other like nvidia or ati. if not realtech then you are loading the wrong drivers. uninstall the realtech drivers and check under device manager to find out the device you need drivers for.. then download them from freeware files.com and install the correct drivers..

Where are you getting the driver files, is all of the hardware original, and what was the original Operating System?
