HOW DO I TURN ON WIRELESS CONNECTION - Fujitsu AMILO Pro V1000 Notebook

To turn off wireless devices using HP Connection Manager:

If you are getting an orange line for wireless. You need to access the gui of your router and turn on the wireless capability there.

They issue is due to the corrupted SmartWi Connection Utility Software in the Computer.

You will need to re-install the Wireless LAN Driver, Updates, and the SmartWi Connection Utilities in the Computer to fix the issue with the Wireless.

1. Please download and save each file on the Desktop.
2. After that double click on the Original Wireless LAN Driver to begin the installation.
3. Please follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
4. After that, restart the Computer for the settings to take the effect.
5. After restarting the Computer, please install the Updates.
6. Make sure that you restart the Computer after each installation.
7. Then, please re-install the "SmartWi Connection Utility in the Computer.

You can download the SmartWi Connection Utility from here.

1. Download and install the SmartWi Connection Utility in the Computer.
2. after the installation, please turn ON the Wireless Adapter using the SmartWi Connection Utility.
3. Please click "Start", "All Programs" and SmartWi Connection Utility to open the Program and turn ON the Wireless Adapter.
4. After that, please re-configure the Wireless Network connection in the Computer.
5. This should fix the issue with the Wireless Network connection.
   

Hi,

First of all turn the wireless radio off on the laptop, then go to the modem and the wireless router and turn them off for 2 minutes.
Turn them back on and wait a further 2 minutes for them/it to reset.

Now go to your laptop and turn the wireless radio back on again, re-connect to the wireless signal and see if you can access the net. If you can then you should have no further problems retrieving your emails or accessing the internet.

I am going to assume that you never had wireless connection with your 3680. With that in mind, Go into Control Panel to make sure your wireless connection can "see" other network routers. Control Panel>Network and Internet Connections>Network Connection. When you start the search for networks, this should turn your wireless adaptor on to perform the search. If you get a message that you do not have a wireless adaptor, use the Wireless Network Setup Wizard.

If you have a laptop and it has built in wireless adapter, it may have a switch or a button that you need to switch on in to turn on the wireless connection radio. Usually, it can be found on the sides or on the front panel of the laptop. On other laptops, you will need to hit some combination of keys on the laptop's keyboard to turn on the wireless connection radio, for example, Fn+F5. Please refer to the manual of your laptop for reference on how to turn on or enable its wireless radio.

I think u switch on the wireless router when the laptop is on.before switch on the lap u should turn on the router because the router will take some time for establish connection

One thing to check is to make sure your dad connected to your wireless environment because so many people have wireless routers today he may have accidentally connected to a neighbor, and the low/non-existent signal strength will cause him to not have an internet connection. Also make sure no one messed with the router configuration because there is an option to turn off the wireless capability of the router. If it got turned off then turn it on and you should be good to go.
