I have the same problem, but I can't even get regular uptime of more than an hour or so before it goes blank. I think we may have bad cards.

Maybe it is does not include a fan.

Yes mine is doing the same thing but not under anything hard like gaming. Tried latest driver issued 1-16-08 and still having probs. but seems like it gens a report to ATI with the new driv. Perhaps a new card as I get the "No Vid Sig" after it happens. First advice I have seen on this, thanks. Running in 1050x 1680 mode. 2gig ram AMD XP3000 2.1 GHZ - 2 g. RAM - win xpheSp2

I read somewhere that this black screen/blank screen problem is due to a hardware conflict with AMD boards that use a VIA northbridge chipset.  So I tested this by installing the video card on a AMD board with a SiS chipset.  Since installing on a board with the SiS chipset, I have had NO problems whatsoever.  I am convinced it is a hardware incompatibility issue.
I also am running an older version of Catalyst, version 7.7, per recommendations from others.  I have heard the X1050 has problems with 7.8 and above.  I admit, I have risked it and subsequently updated the drivers through windows update, without any problems, but have not updated Catalyst.  Still running fine.

Try reinstall the video card driver !
check the back of the game box if 1.6 ghz is enough power its kind of odd if it does it just on that game cause your ram memory is enough !

get the new drive off the ati website !
it could be a multitude of problems ! the video card could also be overheating ! if the screens says no video signal after it stops you card is the problem!

also you motherboard could also only support 4x video card therse a lot to lean on here !

Physical memory dumping when l start to play gta

providing the actual dump message will greatly increase the chances of a correct diagnostic of the problem. (yes the message actually tells us why it goes to physical mem dump) other than that i'd check the fans and fins for dust buildup (causes overheating)

do this. first download qtorrent 2.0 from this link: when you do, go here: and click download torrent. some window will popup after clicking donload torrent. choose the location of download, and click ok. when it finishes downloading, go to location of download and copy the file that has .exe on the end, to the C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas. when you do, it will say that you already have that file, but just click to replace the existing one with the downloaded one. make a shortcut of that new gta sa launcher, and there you go. from now on double click that new one to play without problems

Gta disc problems

It's the disc. It sucks when that happens but honestly you can try to get it cleaned or something. But you may have to get a new san andreas! I have had problems with it in the past. Its such a memory intensive game.
