A clicking sound every few minutes usually means the compressor is going off on overload when trying to start. This could mean the start parts are bad, or the compressor went bad.

The compressor overload keeps poping when i plug the unit in.

I would suggest you plug it into a power bar with surge protector to see if that solves the problem.

the extension cord must be # 12 wire size for better and the gorund should not be removed . ( proper polirty is important . ) do replace the start relay and if you have a ohm meter ck it for open or short to ground before installing the relay . ( good power is best ..or a short compressor life is for sure .. mm

MIni fridge stopped working/cool.

I got mine in 2005. It stopped working 4 or 5 weeks ago. It made a clicking noise and the compressor was very hot. Compressor is under warranty but appliance repair shop wanted $125 to install it and another $75 to charge it with freon. I saw a posting somewhere else that said it was a relay switch. I ordered one from RepairClinic.com for $24.00 incl. shipping, put it in and it's working now. There's a black plastic housing on the left side of the compressor. Just unscrew that, pop the cover off (that was a little tricky) and plug in the new part. Maybe I'll get another 3 years out of it.

Magic Chef MCWC30MCG not getting cold?

You need to replace the Ptc unit attached to the compressor. Go to REPAIR CLINIC.COM and order the following part. 1206838 Ptc relay. They also will show you were it is located and how to replace it. Compressor tanks very rarely go bad. It is an $11.00 dollar part

Replace PTC Starter and that is it. You can also try to open and clean contacts, I did and it worked.
