LCD display sometimes dont work and touch screen never works anymore. When I open the display panel sometimes it comes on and sometimes is does not. The touch screen stopped working. Sony is looking to charge abuot $215.00USD to get fixed. Does anyone know where I can get the cable that is needed to get this fixed. I work on electronics and feel I can do this myself - that is unless its cheaper and faster from any reccomendations you can make ? Thanks Bobby

Does your unit still works even without using touchscreen?

Since you already do hard reset and still it does'nt work. then chances are you have a defective touch screen, probably it is cause by an impact of any kind and produce a crack inside or if your luck, the touch screen flex get loose inside.

here is what you can do if your phone does'nt have any warranty anymore cause opening your phone can forfeit your warrany.

Open tour phone slowly and secure the screw to a safe place and also remember where and how to place the parts you remove. Be extra carefull for the LCD. the touch screen is just above the LCD. Some manufacturers include the touch screen to the LCD and some are separate. You can check visually is there is cracks on the touch screen and also check its flex connector if it is ok.

You can purchase touchscreen, LCD or Both at ebay. be sure that the right model is what you order.

The touch screen portion of your lcd panel is working correctly but the panel isnt. The panel needs to be replaced and 9 times out of ten the cable does as well. I hope this helps.

The LCD panel and Touch screen panel were both have separate circuit connection. the covering panel of the LCD is the touch screen the inner is the LCD, replacing an LCD is quite just bit easy all you need a replacement LCD, you can purchased it online or via ebay. and you'll also need a dismantling guide and a very cheap opening tools.

Lcd Flex cable u can find one on EBAY and try changing it they will give u instructions or ask me if u need them HOW TO REPLACE THE FLEX

Once your open up the machine (like how u change toner kit),u will see a connector connected the LCD display to the base machine. Makesure the connector is firmly plugged.

thats the complaint of LCD inverter circuit...if u dont know to open it,then dont do any thing better thing is go to the nearest service center of toshiba and try to repair it if thats failed. u have to replace with a new inverter circuit.dont try to repair urself...thats all.
