I've had this wireless mouse for 3 months (microsoft wireless mobile mouse 4000). it just stopped working. the battery is fresh (the red light is still on) and the transmitter is still firmly in the usb...

When you replace the Battery on a Wireless Mouse you have to link the Mouse again with your USB receiver. There should be a Button on the bottom of the Mouse that could be marked, Reset, or Link or something similar. Just turn on your Mouse and hold this Button for a few second until the USB receiver finds the signal.

My usb ports stopped recognizing my plug in's. They work for power but my wireless mouse and iPhone when plugged in won't work now.

I have a similar problem with my A135-S2286. I noted that the mouse pad area got hot, but I found it was the Wifi card. After getting hot, the computer stops recognizing USB devices and finally the computer gets stuck.

Try turning off your Wifi and please let me know if it works.

Microsoft wireless mouse 4000 doesnt select tabs/icons

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program that came with the mouse. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work. Hope this helps. Bud

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse Not Connecting

I have the same mouse and I had to install the intellipoint 6.1 software that came with it, and it worked flawlessly. Then I sold a few of them that I had and mixed up the dongles in the sales and now none of them work. Trying to figure out if I can force a recognition or are they proprietary to only one mouse. Go to microsoft and see if the intellipoint 6.1 is a download.
