Here are some links to suppliers that have XD cards available;

www.futureshop.com , bestbuy.com, tigerdirect.com, directdial.com, www.olympus.com

The links all have canadian sites (.ca) too if that's is better for you. I am not sure whwre you are located but most local electronic retailers will have XD cards available or you can order online. Your local walmart, futureshop, bestbuy and the source should all carry it in store. Theye will range anywhere from $25.00-$200.00 depending on size, manufacturere, security features and capacity. You should be able to get a 1gb card for around $30.00-$40.00 at most retailers.

I tried 2 types of memory cards today in my Olympus 920 digital camera today. neither fit. what do I do???

Is this your camera?
http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-X-920-12MP-Digital-Camera/dp/B0049EE7X4/ref=dp_return_2?ie=UTF8&n=502394&s=photo
If so, this particular camera only works with an xD-Picture Card or microSD card. I'm guessing you are trying to use an SD memory card which is a very common memory card for cameras, but is not supported by your camera. You need to buy an xD-Picture Card or microSD card.

Olympus say the C-60 Zoom is not compatible with the 2GB xd card. Standard cards upto 512MB appear to be available online but not in high street stores.

XD memory card confusion

The xD-Picture Card (xD stands for "extreme digital.") is a flash memory card format developed and introduced to the market in July 2002 by Olympus and Fujifilm, and manufactured by the Toshiba Corporation. xD cards are in Olympus and Fujifilm digital cameras, and are available in a range of sizes, from 16 MB to 2 GB currently. A higher-performance xD card known as Type M came out in 2005, and uses Multi Level Cell (MLC) architecture.
An xD card is 20mm x 25mm x 1.78mm and weighs about 2.8 g, making it significantly smaller than the nearly matchbook-sized CF card and about half the size of the SD/MMC card. As far as size goes, it is much closer to miniSD or RS-MMC. The manufacturer listed write speeds for xD-Picture Cards are: for the 16 MB and 32 MB card, 1.3 MB/s and for the 64MB and higher cards, 3 MB/s. Both offer a minimum read speed of 5 MB/s. The xD Type M cards have a faster standard rate of 4.0MB/s for reading and 2.5MB/s for writing.
Anything up to 2gb will work with your camera, either the type M or the type M+ will be fine.

XD Picture Memory Cards

What is the advantage of a 1 gig over two 512meg cards: Usually the 1 gig will be priced lower than 2 512 cards. The 1 gig card will hold twice as many photos. That is about it. .................... Brand name has turned out to be a non-issue for almost all memory cards. They have to be made to a standard and they will all work. Olympus and Fujifilm came up with the xD card. And Sandisk is a trusted card maker. I believe that Olympus may have a stitch feature that is only available if you use the Olympus brand of card. A gimmick to sell more of their brand of cards. This is pretty much of a non issue too, as there are plenty of software programs that can do stitching for panorama photos.

You can use the Panorama feature on the Olympus C-60 Zoom Digital Camera provided that you use an Olympus brand xD-Picture Card.
