My top load Ultimate Care II washer (from Lowes) would fill with water, but not agitate unless I banged lid really HARD. Half hour on phone, Whirlpool said it was bad lid switch, call a serviceman. One hour drive to appliance parts store, new lid switch for $18.17. Installed it. Same problem. Finally bent back the metal rod that extends from the left lid hinge under the lid (you can feel it easily under the rim of the tub) so the the switch, which is loose in it's slot, engages. It now works fine, and we have a spare lid switch we didn't even need! Lousy design, easy, FREE fix.
You should try to stop sticking the agitator up your *** so much =)
Does your model have a drive coupling its between the motor and gearcase, when they brake the machine wont wash or spin and makes a wierd noise

There are gears inside the agitator that are very cheap and relatively easy to change they are called agitator dogs. Dont forget to rate my solution as solved if i answered your question accurately.....Thanks!!
SOURCE: Washer fills and spins but does not agitate
Im sorry to say, it sounds like the transmission in the washer may have gone out, the unit it self sits at the bottem of the main agitator shaft under the the tub, you may be able to have this replaced, but shop around for the right price.
SOURCE: INGLIS WASHER SUPERB AGITATOR DOES NOT WORK
sorry not real solution as I am not familiar with that design but recommend replacing machine.
