Question about Kodak EasyShare V570 Digital Camera
I must have dropped or pressed to hard on the view finder and the screen is now out. Who repairs these? Is it worth the repair or buy a new camera? Need help.
I just bought one off ebay and installed it myself (I spent $14,99). I don't recommend you trying this unless you have a ton of patience and great eyesight. You have to have the correct (tiny) screw drivers to work on the camera. Also, the parts within the camera are small and delecate, so work on a white background (piece of paper). The screws are located on the sides and bottom. Start with the rear panel screws and remove the parts slowly. Then move to the front. Watch out for falling parts, because the shutter popped off when I was taking the camera apart. You have to expose the LCD's wiring hook up. The black part flips up and you can pull the old wiring hook up out, then insert the new one. Retrace your steps by putting the camera back together. Not that easy, since the parts are so small.
