You may have another wireless connection other than your own set as automatic, or more than one connection in your settings of the same name, so right click on your network icon in your task bar or in network connections in device manager and select view all wireless connections, click on it and when all the connections show, highlght, delete all of them, then close the window.
Your notebook should now indicate that it found new wireless connections, click on the popup and select your connection name and click connect, at this point you will be asked to enter the passkey if you have security enabled.

Can you connect through a "wired" connection? Is your router connected to the Internet? If you're using wireless encryption, have you told your netbook what that encryption key is?
try to go to 192.168.1.1 and entering admin in the password field and leaving blank the user name field. If that doesn't work go to 192.168.0.1 and login in with the email and password the internet is registered to.
this could be any number of things, but a good thing to try is downloading winsock from microsoft's web site and running it on your laptop. It is an internet setting reset utility that should put all your settings back to default.
Well here is the bad news. There is no fix to the wireless problem. It works on some machines when they are shipped but on others. YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG...it's a bug in the Xandros software. It will either work immediately when you get it, or it won't and you will drive yourself crazy trying to figure it out. Send the machine back and demand your money or a replacement. From other posts the distributors of ASUS EEE know of the problem and will replace or refund but don't wait to long.
