Try connecting the laptop with the same VGA cable to a PC monitor. This will tell you if the problem is with the TV or the VGA output from your laptop.
Make sure there no bent/missing pins on the 15-pin VGA connector ans cable.
in this condition if the red color is missing all inputs (like av ,rf, hdmi) then lcd panel is defective and if red color is missing at any in put so please check main board
If you are using a component video cable (Red, Green, Blue) you may simply be missing the Red cable. It may not be fully plugged in.
You can verify that this is the case by:
1. Unplugging all video cables
2. Plug in the green cable, you should see a black and white image.
3. Plug in the blue cable, you should see some colours coming through.
4. Plug in the red cable, you should see all colours properly.
If not, unplug the blue and red cables and plug the blue cable into the red port. The colours will look incorrect, skin tones will be blue.
If the colour comes through the problem is the cable.
If the colour does not come through, the problem may be the projector.
Remove & re-seat the component video cables at both the TV and the DVD player.
If the problem continues, disconnect BOTH ends of the BLUE cable and the RED cable. Connect the BLUE cable to the RED jack at both the DVD and TV, and connect the RED cable to the BLUE jack ob both the TV and DVD. If the RED color comes back and the BLUE is missing, then replace the RED cable (the red cable is broken and will not pass the signal that it is connected to).
If all works, reconnect the colored cables to the corresponding colored jacks at both the TV and DVD player.
If the RED color still won't display, isolate the trouble to either the DVD player or TV by connecting the DVD to another TV w/ component jacks. If the RED is still missing, it is a problem inside the DVD player - if the RED displays, it is a problem with the TV.
assuming that u r a professional.. i guess there is no problem with ur monitor, it sounds like itz due to graphic adapter..either the adapter on ur system main/mother board/agp/pci/pcie is damaged or itz simply 'driver corruption'.. don't panic..check for driver update/download n reinstall graphic/display driver.. however, 1st make sure that the Screen Resolution (1024x768 or as applicable) and Color Quality (32 bit or as applicable) is correct..from Display Settings->Settings tab.. always better to contact system admin/vendor....
ok for some reason by running the game morrowind it fixed my display. Dont ask why, I dont know but thanks anyway. Maybe it has something to do with the mods that I have put on it.(morrowind)
Two possible reasons/solutions why: 1. one or more of your color drive transistors is/are faulty. These are the 3 transistors normally heatsinked in a separate squarish PCB connected at the rear end of the picture tube (CRT). If one or more is shorted, open is leak, then the video display would have faint re-trace lines. other indicators include too bright, unusual color; 2. the screen voltage from the flyback transformer (FBT) is a bit high. This is adjustable and the control is normally at the FBT itself (towards the rear). There is another control present for the focus.
Of course the usual safety precautions applying when working with live sets or electronics with high voltage and possible residual power (in the capacitors).
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
The problem is the ribbon cable connecting the circuit board to the LCD display. It is not very hard to replace but I have no idead from where to buy it.The missing red color is just the beggining, now my LCD sometimes turn to white and I can't see anything on it.
