Viewsat ultra While i've loaded the file,the power source was out .And since then nothing is working , not even the power off &on.....Everything is dead. The only thing i see is the 4 lines on the display screen . I had it for 6 mnth.Still on warranty, but they me for $75 to fixe it .What can i do ?Do u think that fixable ? How ? Thanks...........

    We had the same thing happen to our Ultra Viewsat but my question is how do we reload the factory setting and how do we this? How do we get it from the serial port on the computer to the system?

    Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks

    MY VIEWSAT 2000 IS DEAD THE ONLY THING THAT SHOW IS A 4 LINES ON THE SCREEN ,I DON'T REALLY KNOW HOW TO FIX IT

    when i was uploading my receiver the energy went down and when it get back my ultra viewsat do notting its dead my t.v. is in black not even the remote do notting. its something that i can do?

They are ok. just get the loader , call v2 or loader two and the factory file and youll be ok. just google viewsat forums to fine all you need.

Same thing happened to me. You have to find a factory preset for the ultra and load is through a pc then after it boots just install the latest fix and enjoy

It is fixable just read....what happened is you powered it down part way thru a flash, or a flash was corrupt, you have to factory reload it

I domt think its fixable hey will charge u 75 to fix it add 50 more to that and buy a brand new one sorry i asnt more help to you.

The viewsat ultra is not hd you cannot download a hd file on there .You need to install a factory bin then new fix on file viewsat ultra not hd.

Viesat 2000 ultra
we have a viewsat ultra 2000 on feb 29 08 we turned the tv off and left the unit on when we turned the tv back on everything froze and the unit does not respond we tried the switch on the back it works for a moment then completly freezes any help is appreciated this machine is approx 4 mths old - from [email protected]

Loading Viewsat Ultra Via USB Flash Drive

1. Load File(s) to your USB Flash Drive. (eg.. PFTAUSW-070911U.PGM)
2. Take USB Flash Drive and insert it into Viewsat Ultra USB Port (behind right
side door flap)
3. Using remote Hit Menu. Then Go to System Information -> Receiver Upgrade
and Hit OK

4. Go to USB and Hit OK.
5. You will now see a list of all the files located on your USB Flash Drive. Find the
file you need to load. (eg. PFTAUSW-070911U.PGM) and select it and hit OK.

6. Your Receiver is now being upgraded.
7. It will come up showing you not to power off the unit.
8. Once it has finished the receiver will reboot and you have upgraded your Viewsat
Ultra.

Fta viewsat extreme dead.
Hi,
I am using viewsat extreme 2000. After downloading the new program PC-STB. Front panel power has gone. Only rear light on. All view has gone.

Viewsat ultra reciever has no power/lights etc.
OK I did my research. Apparently there is a little chip inside the receiver that has burnt. We need to take our receiver the the people who know how to fix them and replace the chip with a new one. It might take time as from what I hear it could be any chip? Hope this helps
