I have Mitsubishi WD-Y57 DLP. Replaced lamp and now green timer comes on for a minute or so and then turns off. TV will not come on?? HELP!

you may have purchased a cheep lamp it has gone bad allready

If you did not have this issue before replacing the lamp remove it and look to see the socket it plugs into is not bent or damaged (it is possible when inserting to not get the two pins lined up correctly.

The lamp cartridge has to be installed precisely so it plugs into the socket and also the lamp door must be closed and secured.

I have a wd-57731 The lamp light blinked orange. i replaced the lamp turned the tv on and the timer blinks green for one minute and then the lamp light blinks orange again. It won't turn on. Can you suggest anything?

with that model after the tv shuts off pres the "menu" and "device" button on the front panel buttons together for about 8 seconds and then the power led will blink green. it will blink a certain number of times then pause and blink a different number of times this will be the error code for the fail that the tv thinks it is having. for example it may blink green 6 times then pause and blink 1 more time that would be code 61 check the code and repost and i will tell you the next course of action good luck

If the green light continues to blink with out stopping this is not a lamp get a tech, it is a start up issue

have you checked the lamp?

If the red light is the lamp light then the projector lamp is defective.

since dlps use a color wheel to make the color the color wheel may be going out. get it serviced
