My 6d maglite keeps blowing the bulb

6D Maglite? As in 6 D cell batteries?

1-1/2 Volts (Each battery), times 6 = 9 Volts.
Using the proper bulb?

The original is a Krypton bulb. (No, I didn't make the name up)

Guess what happens if you put a 3 Volt bulb with 9 Volts?

How do you change the small daytime driving light on a 2001 vw cabrio

To remove this bulb first open the bonnet, below the rubber cap leading to the dipped beam bulb you will find two wires leding out from a pushin connector detach this connector by pulling it away fromthe headlamp unit. You now turn the bulb holder 1/4 of a turn anti-clockwise and pull the holder out pullout the blown bulb and insert a relacement. Refit by reversing the the instructions given.

Open up the tail gate, you will see two torque screws on the inside beside the tail lights. take these out, this will free up the housing and you can change it from there.
