I have an old Kenwood KRC 2001 cassette radio which I would like to fit to a car just bought by my daughter but it has no electric/speaker connector. Can anyone please tell me what output/input each of the 2 rows of 6 male terminals serve?

Red is battery. some have two red wires, but they are both battery(12 volts). it is a switchable 12 volts which means it comes on when you start car. yellow is a constant 12 volts. it is for memory. blue is for power antenna(ive never used it. i keep blue wire disconnected) then you have the set of colored wires like green and gray stripe. those are speaker wires. match it with its other color coded wire. example.....brown with yellow stripe wire goes with the brown wire to connect speaker. enjoy

The code will only be available from your Main Dealer or by using a Radio Decoding Service who will read the working code inside your radio`s memory chip (EEPROM) using a laptop and special software

How do i connect a kenwood krc 394 radio cassette,+ve battery, eth, and speaker connections.

Head unit color code:

12V-Yellow
12V switched-Red
Ground-Black
Illumination or Dimmer-Orange/Orange w/white stripe
Blue-Power Antenna
Blue wwhite stripe-Amp turn on

Whites-FL speaker
Greys-FR speaker
Greens-RL speaker
Purples-RR speaker
(Black stripes negative)

If you have a female harness to connect to the veicle side you will pretty much color match. The only exception is that you may only have an amp turn on wire but only a power antenna on the vehicle. In this case you would connect blue w/white stripe wire from radio harness to the blue antenna wire on the vehicle side.

If you are doing a hardwire (factory plug has been cut off) you can obtain a wiring code for your vehicle at www.the12volt.com for most vehicles.

If you are talking about the remote lead from the amplifier too the headset, it attaches to the blue/white lead on headset which can also operate an electric aerial

If there was no spark and wires hooked up wrong in the first place, your player should work if you find the PWR lead and the Remote lead and ground. Then speaker wires +) and (-
