You cannot pick up cell phone conversations on your scanner. Federal law prohibits the manufacture and sale of scanners capable of receiving cellular bands, and modern scanners cannot be modified to include those frequencies Sorry. . . .

Police frequencies michigan

Hi, must have a digital trunking scanner first and foremost if you want to monitor the state radio frequencies. You much has a ham radio license or 'permit' to use the scanner or even have the scanner in you car. You can sign-up for a premium membership at Radio Reference dot com and it will set you up with direct loads of frequencies and talkgroups. Here's a link to help you:

Cannot recieve new Motorla trunking Feq after system upgrade on my Pro 95 scanner. What can I do?? Thanks, Ron

Hi.

They probably went into a digital trunking system. Your Pro-95 will only handle Edacs, Type I and II standard trunking.

Or they changed the trunking voice frequencies and the data (control channel) frequency.

Which system are you trying to listen to? Which city area ??

My scanner (radioshack Pro 2018) doesn't receive signals from local poloce, ambulance and so on. What do I need to do?

First, try scanning the Weather band to see if you scanner is working properly. If you don't pick up anything, your scanner likely needs some professional help. If the Weather broadcasts come in, then you just don't have the correct frequencies programmed for your local services, and it's possible that your area is using a trunked system - which your scanner is not capable of receiving. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies and systems in your area, Visit:

The site will tell you if trunking systems are in use, and it will also provide a wealth of other useful scanning info.

800 MHz frequency Mode problem

You have to program it TRUNKING mode when you enter the control channel frequencies. It is decoding okay as the MO shows motorola control channel and +DG means digital decoded and an OPEN group. You need to press the 'trunk' button everytime a talkgroup comes up that you want it to remember for future 'closed' group (-DG) talk groups. I suggest you go to 'RadioReference DOT com" and there are many forums there for your radio, as well as one or two YAHOO GROUPS specifically for your scanner. 73's

Want to no how to program scanner to pick up phone calls. radioshack-pro/95 dual-trunking.

Sorry, but it can't be done, for at least two reasons. Cellular bands are out of the tuning range of your scanner, and it cannot be modified to receive the cellular frequencies. Virtually all cellular signals are now digital, and the PRO-95 is an analog-only scanner.

When scanner is turned on it says all channels are locked radio s

If this is a trunking scanner, then you can go to your local radio shack store and have them reprogram the scanner with your local frequencies. This does sometimes occur if the trunking is not set correctly.

I want to know what the frequencies are in the digital range what i mean is,like what a digital freguency is

a digital frequency is normally one that is trunked by a digital trunking system. You will need to know what type of trunking system you have, ie: Motorola type I or II, EDACS standard, or SCAT, or EF Johnson. Each one of these uses a different type of tagging to program its frequencies. Some will allow you to just enter the AFS(agency frequency-subfrequency) It looks like this for example: 03-062 Either radioreference.com or your local radio shack should be able to help you in obtaining what you want.

NOTE: If your area has upgraded to digital or trunking radio systems, you will not be able to receive them on this older scanner.
