Hello I am currentyl operating the hp pavilion dv5-1125nr notebook and the volume button located in the very front center directly above F7 and F8 is broke and keeps beeping... Can I mute the sound somehow? I tried uninstalling the Quick Touch program but that only ended up with a default sound to replace the original one...

Above the keyboard is a row of buttons - look for the one that has a loudspeaker symbol followed by a circle with a diagonal line through it - that is the mute button. Press it to mute/unmute. There are two other buttons for volume up and volume down.
