I have a lnt4061f samsung lcd tv. i am experiancing purple bars across the screen moving from the bottom to the top.it's new just out of the box.i was told it could be the power source?
Similar problem. My screen just shows a white bar and then the rest of the screen is purple. You can change the channels and the sound changes but same purple bars. I've owned it for about 1 1/2 years. How much should this cost to fix? I would have expected better from Samsung. Model: S409D

I think i have the same problem with a Samsung LE37R88BD that i bought 14 months ago, Purple splodges seem to appear in and around bright parts of the screen, all faces and especially foreheads seem to have a shine to them now. I turned down the brightness and fiddled with some options that has helped alot with the picture, but i can still see the problem, very annoying, have just gone past 1 year warranty as well. If this tv had a tube, i would swear it was on its way out with the symptoms i am getting. Does anyone know if this would be an expensive fix ?, i think i will buy all LG from now on, a LCD TV should not die this quickly, Should it ? Unfortunatly This is a manafuctaurer defect. your panel is bad and will need to be replaced by a technician. I know it isnt want you wanted to hear but the F modelf year for samsung is very bad for this. beinf the 61F, 65F, and the 71F. Hopefully you are in the return policy still for the TV

The t con board or LCD panel of the tv is faulty. Can confirm by replacing the t con board. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
Plasma screens are extremely susceptible to getting broken from any impacts to the face of the screen. What you are describing sound very much like distorted or dead pixels. It may not be a fixable issue, you may have to replace the entire unit or live with the purple bar. The reason you don't notice it as much when the screen is dark is because purple is on the darker end of the spectrum, and will be most visible in contrast to lighter ad brighter colors.
Bad Vsc voltage. You need to increase it from 205v to 210-215v. Since it's a dangerous place to work, I suggest you to call an qualified tech. The good news is the plasma panel is good.
Yes this is the color wheel that this tv has you would need to remplace the color wheel here is a web site where you can find it for a good price www.discount-merchant.com
yes it can, but i would lean more to a bad T-con or control board the board is around a hunderd dollars from Samsung on the web or Andrews Electronics on the web
how old is the tv?
do you use it with a game console?
you may be experiencing screen burnout
this does happen with cheaper lcd tvs and older ones. toy may need to take it in for repair.
I have not noticed that with my set, Sony Bravia 2007 1080I.
Uh, I have a bigger problem though...
I had just paused my live tv for about 40 minutes on abaseball game and now I have green burn in.
I'm in the middle of searching the net for solutions. I have tried:
pure white screen for 30 minutes (no change)
"fuzz" for 1 hour (no change)
turn TV off for 12 hours (no change)
I'll now try to power down fully for 12 hours and see what happens.
