I just set up computer left to me by deceased brother. It has a non-wireless logitech and a wireless logitech mouse. I just replaced batteries and still unable to get it to work.
First of all sorry about your brother...
Next I'm assuming that you have you wired keyboard and a wireless mouse both made by Logitech. (looks as though a word or two was left out of your request)
Anyway, first make sure the receiving end for the mouse is plugged into a usb port in the back of the computer. There supposed to be an antenna-like receiving device for the mouse's actions.
After that, follow this link, locate your device and download its driver (don't worry about model numbers they have pics of all of their mice).

Good Luck!

Make sure the receiver for your mouse is plug in good to usb port.
3 Turn the mouse upside down to check the on/off switch. Be sure it is switched on.
