Is the full model number 596.76582600? The three-digit prefix indicates the actual manufacturer of the fridge with the Kenmore label. The manual covers a large number of Kenmore refrigerators. The water filter is only in select models. The 596.76582600 does not have a filter. The only filter listed is a refrigerant line filter for the coolant system.

I am pretty sure that two companies made the Trio for Sears and I will help you. At this point I believe you are having a defrost or damper control problem. Would you look around the frame or freezer drawer and see if there is a different number than p75523 because Sears uses that number for another reason than the true model number. You may find a Maytag number or an LG number on your model. Sears places numbers like this for example 323.26589 as a model number. I am ready when you are. Sea breeze
I just purchased a similar model and had the same frustration. Finally called the store and it was in DEMO mode. Open the freezer draw and hold down the Ultra Ice & Refrigerator Temp buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. That worked for me and hope it will do the trick for you.
